      Product Design Engineer
      Job Summary: Provide product design support for assigned product group(s), Product Manager, or sales representatives through product design, creation, design validation, confirmation of specifications, and validation of manufacturability within existing technologies.

      Job Duties:
      Product Design-Create design concepts for new and existing customers that conform to application specifications, performance requirements, and applicable agency approvals.
      Design Validation- Ensure designs for manufacturing performs to and meet all customer application parameters.
      Manufacturing Interface- Provide design support to manufacturing and manufacturing engineering to ensure manufacturability of all designs prior to release for production.
      Customer Interface- Act as the product design focal point for customer design changes or application assistance.
      Tooling Interface- Act as the product design focal point for all tooling requirements related to specific designs for manufacturing.
      Quality Assurance Interface- Act as the product design focal point for QA performance parameters as related to specific product designs. Project management- Complete assigned projects on-time and manages data reporting for completeness and accuracy.


      Requirements:
      · Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Preferred)
      · 5+ years of design experience in a thermal product manufacturing environment.
      · Proficient in Solidworks
      · Strong ability to conceptualize product from design to final application with heavy emphasis on manufacturability to cost requirements.
      · Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as welding, brazing, soldering, machining, and assembly.
      · Ability to work cross-functionally as a team player to complete corporate objectives for assigned product group.
