      Job Description:

      We are currently sourcing a Project Engineering Manager to join our Client at their North West Office on a staff or contract hire basis.

      The Project Engineering Manager will manage Engineering multi-discipline project delivery, technical quality, safety in design, interfaces, schedule, and progress, on Chemical/Petrochemical EPC or EPCM contracts.

      Must have strong communication skills with peers and Customers and have proven experience of the modern EPC work process, including workshare. Reports functionally to Improve Manager of Projects and Senior Project Manager on a day to day basis.

      Successful candidate must be degree qualified with significant relevant experience, and proven or innovated methods of Project Control and Technical Management.

      • HSE Management – Maintains HSE Focus within the team to ensure HSE requirements are included in the design and procurement
      • Competency to lead and coordinate disciplines and relevant experience
      • Proactively resolves performance, scope and schedule issues with the Client as they arise. Identifies documents, communicates and meets the client’s requirements
      • Ability to interface and negotiate with client and disciplines to achieve quality, cost and schedule goals for project
      • Scope Management – Complies with the Client’s Technical Stewardship Plan and requirements of the contract. Managing change control process
      • Quality management – Contributes to compliance with the Client’s policies and procedures
      • Team Management – Focuses team on achievement of milestones and other key project objectives. Listens to the team, discusses the issues, resolves problems and directs activities to remove roadblocks and achieves objectives
      • Risk Management – Monitors closure of all identified risks and opportunities
      • Design Management – Sets clear objectives for the design team including achieving productivity and budget targets. Ensures design team is aware of, and complying with client’s Basis of Design and applicable regulations and codes. Manages inter-discipline interfaces effectively
      Requirements
      • Experienced as Project Manager / Technical lead or Project Engineering Manager
      • Proven track record of FEED & detailed design
      • Excellent technical communication and co-ordination skills
      • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification (Professional Engineer preferred)
      • Proven experience in leading a discipline design group
