      I had a go rendering a 3D version of the MDF app icon in SolidWorks/Photoview. Below are a couple of attempts that I made. Does anyone else want to have a go? You can download the CAD files for the logo in a variety of formats. Just follow the link below. Upload your renderings to this thread. Perhaps we could turn the best into downloadable MDF wallpapers!

      Sounds interesting.
      Does it matter if I use other software to make the rendering?
      Does it matter if I make changes to the 3D model?

      Use any software you like, and feel free to make changes to the 3D model. It will be interesting to see what people come up with.

      oh, but don't change the actual design of the logo so that it ends up looking different from the front, if you see what I mean

      Thanks! glad you liked em. Yeah I love photoview and once I figured out how to tweek the perspective I cant seem to not mess with it. And I see you shared my rendering on facebook, thats cool I feel famous now!
