      Hello,

This is my first post on this forum.
I'm looking to design a handle that a user can twist and actuate a brake cable in a transverse direction. Basically, looking to transmit that rotational force to linear force. Is there an aftermarket off the shelf product out there that would perform this task? Any other common applications where this is used and I might be able to modify the design? The most analogous thing I can think of is a tube of chapstick......Any ideas?

      Thanks

Thank you all for your suggestions. I've checked around for some ideas. Motorcycle throttle with cable actuation is along the lines I was looking for. I'll be looking into that further!
