How can I scale my Autocad drawing so when I dimension certain parts it will output the distance in feet? I downloaded the AutoCAD 2010 demo and I'm trying to figure out how to fix my scale. I want my scale to be 1"= 20' but my drawing is in units of inches. How do I get my dimensions to read in feet? I'm a newb to 2010 but the last AutoCAD that I am familiar with is 2006. Any help is much appreciated.

There is a command called 'Units' if you go in there and change the 'Insertion scale' to 'Feet' I think that will do it.

set up a new "dimension style" for the different requirements. look for the units tab. set the units to how you want to view the dims or/and you can use a multiplier or set the scale.
