      A leading service provider to the WA resources industry is currently looking for an experienced Senior Structural Designer for a Perth based contract to commence immediately. Reporting to the Lead Structural Designer, the purpose of this position is to carry out assigned Structural Designer activities within your team and to assist Designers and Trainees with their tasks as required.

      Your key accountabilities will include;

      • Carrying out assigned design and checking activities within the team for all Structural Design deliverables and to ensure that they are dimensionally correct and meet design input requirements
      • Ensuring that all interdiscipline and client comments have been addressed
      • Ensuring technical integrity of work, consistency of work quality and ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with applicable codes and standards, procedures and the basis of design
      • Ensuring all interfaces (inter-discipline, client, implementation, fabrication, vendor etc) are identified and managed in the execution of all projects
      • Working with Project Leaders to ensure schedule is maintained on assigned projects on each asset
      • Ensuring change is identified, approved and implemented in an effective and timely manner

      To be considered for this opportunity you would have acquired the following skills, qualifications and experience:

      • Ability to demonstrate a strong commitment to HSE
      • Substantial Structural Design experience gained in the Oil & Gas industry
      • Proficient with PDMS Design and Draft
      • Demonstrated previous checking experience
      • Offshore design experience will be considered advantageous as will Brownfields experience
      • Skills in Microstation 2D and 3D

      This is a great opportunity to join one of Western Australia’s world class projects. As part of this position you will be required to undergo HUET training and gain MSIC clearance as travel offshore will be required from time to time.
