In 1900, an American civil engineer called John Elfreth Watkins made a number of predictions about what the world would be like in 2000. How did he do?

      1. Digital colour photography
      2. The rising height of Americans
      3. Mobile phones
      4. Pre-prepared meals
      5. Slowing population growth (in the US)

      My predictions:

      1) Digital clothing - nanobots on the skin will keep the body warm whilst projecting clothing of choice onto the naked body.
      2) Laser toilets - waste will be instantly atomised by laser. No need for water or plumbing.
      3) Electronics wired into brain: Electronics will be grown into the brain by a nanobot injection. This will allow people to experience augmented reality, wireless communication, internet etc.
      4) Anti-gravity
      5) Mind-reading technologies (via 3)
      6) Wireless electricity
      7) Cubicle homes. The poorest will live in coffin-style cubicles. This will be made tolerable by Matrix-style virtual reality which would simulate them as living in a mansion.

I will be hailed as a genius for my predictions in 100 years time!

My predictions, lets make these be saved now for this century!

      1) Energy problem solved, there will be enough solar and geothermal energy and derivatives to shut down the last nuclear, and fossile power plant.
      2) Flying cars, also for poor people
      3) Real democracy in most contries but at least in UN, or its successor, by internet, by all citizens of the world
      4) Mind controlled smartphones (today they suck in a car for instance..)
      5) Most cars, buses and trucks powered by ethanol, in IC engines, giving clean air in all cities
      6) Electric cars have decades ago finally failed commercialization
      7) True crypted internet communication for most messages
      8) One planet colonized, probably Mars, atmospere started up but will take another 50 years to make it good enough for humans
      9) Moon colonized for mining

      8) 4D Television (3D + smell)

      Forgot 10

      10) Meat from alive animals will be only for museums, meat will instead be grown in factories, without big climate effect, and without pain and sufferings, and to a much lower cost than todays production.
