      JOB SUMMARY:

      Mechanical Engineering of custom air handlers for HVAC applications . The Sr. Project Engineer selects components and acts as the lead in coordinating efforts of the Controls Engineers and CAD Designers and conducts design reviews as necessary to ensure design input, cost, and schedule requirements are being met.
      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

      • Process Sales Orders by selecting components, generating CAD drawings, and preparing parts lists.
      • Supports new product development with conceptual designs and layouts, as needed.
      • Participates in Kaizan and other cross functional teams to improve designs
      • Supports continuous improvement and cost reduction activities through improved product design / design for manufacturing <x{(}>(DFM)
      • Provides engineering expertise and/or support to other departments as needed
      • Trains others in product changes, CAD skills, and design automation
      KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

      • Component selection including fans, heat exchangers, coils, pumps, and compressors.
      • Ability to work on large scale projects and provide comprehensive documentation
      • Effective communication skills, both written and oral
      • Demonstrated problem solver & team player
      • Ability to successfully plan work to meet deadlines
      • Design for manufacturing ( DFM)
      DESIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Experience with selection of components for HVAC applications using computer programs.
      • Practical knowledge of thermodynamics, Psychrometrics, and DX cooling design
      • Previous experience with product testing, troubleshooting, and HVAC control strategies
      • Ability to generate drawings with AutoCAD or similar programs
      • Experience with configurable and custom products
      • Knowledge of safety standards
      • 5+ years industry experience with minimum B.S. In Engineering
      • Authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer
