Wed, Oct 7, 2020 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM BST The rich set of microstructural features prevalent in additively manufactured parts causes the mechanical properties of the parts to drastically differ from conventionally manufactured parts. In this presentation, we will show the process of generating, segmenting, and predicting the mechanical properties of an additively manufactured polycrystalline RVE. The resulting predictions will be used to train a surrogate model capable of predicting stress-strain behavior given only a set of microstructural features. In this session, you will learn about: • Data-driven process-structure-property linkages in additive manufacturing • Generating, segmenting, and simulating additively manufactured microstructures • Functional Gaussian process surrogate modeling Register here: https://register.gotowebinar.com/register/1554426176099941644?source=Engineeringclicks
