everybody's favorite subject...weld symbols. I need some help with a drawing that I'm making, on one of the parts three welds are required, on a square piece, bottom, and the two sides. What is the proper weld symbol for something like this?

It depends on the kind and size weld you want.

Nothing special, I think it's about .25 long. Almost like a big tack weld I guess

Still need to know what it is, weld type (fillet, v-groove, bevel groove, etc.), size, length, etc. Weld symbols are very specific in how they describe the weld.
