      Hi Murali047,

in most cases the o-ring groove is obtained by a turning operation.

It depends what the 'O' Ring groove is machined into, a diameter or a flat surface.

Most O Ring manufacturers have the machining spec in their brochures.

I'm guessing you're referring to a round part. If so, you will do this operation on a lathe using a grooving tool. The o-ring should have manufacturer-specified dimensions. If you can't find them, check your Machinery's Handbook to figure out the proper depth and width of your groove. To figure out the feed/speed etc to use in your machining operation, also refer to your Machinerys Handbook. That's it!
