Sexy toys is the least like to design. Because designing such things will make me like a freak among my friends.

There isn’t one particular industry I would least like to work in.

For me being given the task of ‘copying’ another product doesn’t sound like any fun. So as long as it’s new then I’m happy.

I have to agree with old Archimedes on this. Any products that are reverse engineered or a carbon copy of the market leader is a bad design job. Yes, as long as you can come up with new solution that’s fine.

I always come back to the companies that make stuff like ball bearings. I could never bring myself to spend years designing things so simple. I was offered a truckload of money to work for a company that made battery cable. (In the middle of no where.) That still gives me the chills.

1. Except as an academic exercise, anything military - Even if it were simply to help sort their foodstuffs
2. Anything scholastic, given our present educational system - though no problem with designing things for voluntary learning opportunities
3. Anything governmental - Unless it were something like Congressional whoopee cushions or similar, perhaps...
4. Probably anything branded by a celebrity, wherein the celebrity does not stem from the product - There are a few exceptions, but it seems like such designs are usually too bad to sell without the name cache
5. Cutesy things to put on pets - They treat us well. We should treat them well back. (though it might be fun to design a better laser toy ; - ))

Many people have vote against weapons. But what is wrong about that?
If you have no weapons how we can defend ourselves? Moreover designing weapons is also very challenging which requires a lot of innovations.
Thanks
