Hi guys, Sorry for this newbie question but I am wondering what kind of bearing housing it is in this picture? Does it have a specific name? I'm trying to find one but don't really know what it's called. Can anyone help? Thanks
I am not certain exactly what that is called, but it looks like some type of "mounted" bearing. I would suggest looking through McMaster-Carr's website to see if you can find anything similar. http://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-mounted-bearings/=le0zuy
This is (generically) called a "pillow block", an independent housing specifically meant to hold and position a bearing.
