AutoCad Draftsight COMPAS 3D You can also do this in any other program: SolidWorks; NX; CATIA; PTC CREO; Fusion 360, but i this will be not so convenient do it.
Draftsight is a good program it comes with a free limited software and a full version. However, the free version felt very empty to me, except for the basic functions I couldn’t use anything else. The software’s interface is very simple, but all options are usually hidden in the menus. Autocad on the other hand, comes with a free trial version for students. The software’s interface is self explanatory. Very easy to use since everything has icons and all the menus are built nicely. Very powerful software indeed, easily usable to draft complex geometries. Draftsight is however, very easy to install. It does not come with all the installation options that comes with Autocad. To download and use Autocad in a healthy fashion you would need to know things about cad softwares like precision and tolerances before being able to install the software. Without knowing these you can use it too, but its just a little odd. My suggestion would be to download and learn autocad, its also industrially viable. But if you want to do a one time thing then draftsight will save you time.
